Born with primary cervical Neuroblastoma (a rare pediatric cancer), Theodore “Theo” spent the first 9 weeks of his life at St Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. He underwent a 9 hour surgery at just two days old to remove the massive tumor from his neck as it was collapsing his airway and compromising his ability to breathe.. After that, Theo went through 2 more major surgeries to fix damages from his tumor, countless procedures and scans. While at the hospital we were given toys/sound machines to bring Theo comfort and they really helped even though he was so small. Unfortunately, the toys were often broken before we could use them. We have known so many wonderful children of all ages who have been or are still currently under treatment at this hospital. Staying at the hospital for weeks on end can be so trying on the best children and a small party or toy can really raise their spirits. These children are going through so much! In addition, siblings like Colton and Nolan also spent countless hours at this hospital as their brother healed. They were able to play with some of these toys in the hospital room to stay entertained while we concentrated on Theo’s medical care and spent time together as a family in a tiny hospital room.
I've created this page because I want to give back to the children in the hospital in which Theo was treated. To do so, we are raising money as part of our participation in this year’s Christmas in July. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button (no amount to small!). The more people that know about this event the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot! If you wish to donate a new toy directly, contact me as we will be bringing Theo to donate the toys collected at the finale fundraising event.
